Web Projects

Expectations:

Group:
- Each group will produce a curriculum web page on its topic. The web page should have at least 60 annotated links divided by school level (primary, upper elementary, middle school and high school.)
- The annotations should be a critique of the web site that contains strengths, weaknesses and suggested grade level. You might also suggest the types of lessons that the site could be used for. If a site has no strengths, you probably shouldn’t include it. You might have a section called “examples of web sites that are totally useless, “ I guess. I think your page would be cleaner if you put a link under each of your curriculum links for the annotation.
- Each curriculum page will have an Ethics page that gives students guildlines about internet ethics based on our reading of the seminar text on ethics.

Each group will prepare a presentation to be made during week 8 of the quarter. More on this later.

Each student in the class will prepare a (fairly) detailed lesson plan associated with this web site. The idea is to think about how the research you have done could be applied in a classroom situation.

Everyone will assess the web sites and presentations using a rubric that is created as a class during week 5.
Your individual lesson plans will be assessed by you and me using a rubric that is created during the week 5 class.
