CONTENT:
Each week your paper will address that
week's readings and INTEGRATE all the readings/activities/research gone
before. The focus of the paper should answer the questions:
-
What is learning from this author(s)'s perspective?
-
What is teaching from this author(s)'s perspective?
-
How do these author(s) inform your thinking
about teaching and learning?
For weeks 2-5 your paper each week
should reflect your understandings of the books/authors read. Your
paper should address:
-
a) an explication of what the sources say
about teaching and learning (backed up with sufficient quotes and page
numbers)
-
b) a compare and contrast of how authors'
views are alike or different
For weeks 5-10 we will have
you begin to add a section to your paper in which you start to write your
OWN philosophy of teaching and learning supported by your own research
(minimum of 2 outside resources each week) as well as the seminar texts.
We will discuss this more as we go along each week. Your paper should
address:
a) an explication of what the sources say
about teaching and learning (backed up with sufficient quotes and page
numbers)
b) a compare and contrast of how authors'
views are alike or different
c) a discussion of your OWN developing understanding
of teaching and learning
