This class will prepare students for calculus, but it is also designed to be an introduction to mathematical modeling. Problems from the world around us will motivate the material and students will leave with a portfolio of methods and concepts to approach problems in the physical, life, and social sciences. Graphical and numerical methods will be used throughout.
