Student Originated Software

1997-1998 Questionnaire

Before registering in SOS, you need to complete this questionnaire. Please keep your total responses to about two pages. If at all possible "word-process" or type them. If you have trouble understanding a particular question, just do your best to interpret it, briefly stating what interpretation you assume as you answer the question. Whether you will learn from and succeed in the program depends on your motivation and ability to contribute effectively to a year-long group software development project. This questionnaire is as much a tool for helping you determine if SOS is the right program as it is an "entrance exam". Please read the SOS program handouts (program description and list of last year's projects) before completing the questionnaire. SOS is an exciting program and I'm looking forward to working with you!

You can bring questions about the program and your responses to the questionnaire to the spring or fall Academic Fair. Judy will read questionnaires on the spot and give you a number to use when you register. Alternatively, you can mail Judy your questionnaire, and she will mail (or e-mail) a response and registration number. You will typically receive this within two weeks -- except between August 20 and September 15, when Judy will be on vacation. Check the SOS homepage periodically for news.
