SOS Project Workshop October 23, 1997

The objective of this workshop:

  1. Give some of the people interested in some of the projects an opportunity to talk about them
  2. Generate feedback and ideas about specific projects to the program as a whole
  3. Generate more specific ideas about what would make for a good SOS project (through (1) and (2)).

Process:

  1. (10 minutes). Distribute DRAFT ground rules and DRAFT rating sheet. Read them. Form 8 groups of about 5, one for each project.
  2. (20 minutes). Each group: Appoint a presenter (and a scribe). the former will deliver a 5 minute summary of the project discussion to the whole program. Then discuss "your" project, filling in information on the template (if possible), writing down questions that need to be asked or problems to be resolved, and considering in some detail the pro[Otilde]s and con[Otilde]s of the project. Each group can add information on the acetate for their presentation.
  3. (60 minutes). Each presenter presents the project to the program, and a short question and answer session follows. The project is rated by the class. (5-7 minutes per project)
