UNIX Potluck
Assignment #6
Due February 19th
Wizard
(5 points) Hey, this is a purely optional assignment... As you may
know Evergreen is probably going to be a cooperating organization with
the Participatory Design conference that will be held in Seattle this
coming November (PDC 98). As part of their web site they'd like to
build an on-line bibliography of relevant citations. I've talked to
the conference chair, David Levinger, about this project and he's very
excited.
I'd like to be able to give David a list of URLs in about a week and
let him choose one (or, possibly, a hybrid). I think it's only fair
that the designers and Evergreen get a byline on this one. BTW, If you
do work on this, I'd like to ask you to work in a team.
Some requirements and guidelines:
- The web site should be as easy to use as possible.
- The site should probably use Perl and CGI scripting.
- The bibliography should be presented alphabetically and should look
like printed bibliographies.
- People should be able to add citations that refer to books, articles,
web sites, films, or other relevant relevant artifacts.
- The web page should include links back to the main PDC 98 web page.
- We encourage you to add other useful and/or cool features. The catch
is that they shouldn't unnecessarily complicate any other aspect of the
system.
