1 – read the article before class on Saturday.

2 – Write two ‘talking points’ for a seminar discussion, and bring them to class. Yes, they need to be typed, and you will have to submit them in class.

For those of you who are not familiar with seminar format, a talking point is something from the reading that irks you, intrigues you, frustrates you, makes you think of another related topic…. [ie this article makes me think of a song by Jim Stafford – called junk food junkie!] It’s basically a starting point for a discussion based on both the article and class material. The talking point should be a statement followed by a short discussion of your thoughts.

One of the talking points should be focused on any similarities / differences you see between this article and the video we viewed in class about media & body image.
