New students should read Sidewalk before the first day of class, as we will seminar on that book Tuesday afternoon. You should also work on a proposal for the winter-spring major project on an American Place. Project proposal guidelines are posted outside Kristina's office door in 1011 Lab I. Remember, the major project runs from the 6th week of Winter Quarter through the 5th week of Spring Quarter so you should not take the class if you cannot enroll in both quarters. If you have Sidewalk and a project proposal, we can do faculty signatures on Monday, January 3rd if space permits enrollment.
