Hi, I am Gail L. McCall. I have joined Patience this week.
So far this quarter I have been writing business plans for a community
laundromat, trucking business and (secret riches of the Andes) farm. All of
these business plans I will submit to various agencies for grants.
Now, I am looking at real estate, and getting ready for three county
sales of surplus lands and foreclosures. Also, we put in a offer for a ten
acre farm on Friday. The land purchase is contingent on finding water.
Monday, I am researching the past history of this piece of property. This
quarter, I will be looking into what are the use possibilities of lands
without water. This will open my studies to here and other countries water
rights, the geographic of water and land management and irrigation and
flooding. This is a huge project and my goal will be to gain awareness of
our precious water resources, management practices that work and world wide
problems and solutions.
My goal is to see if the American dream is possible. It is a high goal,
a learning experience and realistic. I have inside facts that Americans have
opportunities that can be used for doing good things and for leading a good
life.
These are plans to help the community grow and create jobs. I am working
on my economics, geography, world history and Civil War history credits for
my pre-MIT.
These are my plans for fall, winter and spring quarter. In the
spring, I hope to start the legal process of immigration (de mi amor) to the
USA. The businesses will make me a good citizen ($$ % over poverty) and
allow me to sponsor students and people from other counties.
Thank you all for welcoming me into Patience. This class allows us to
co-learn lessons that life gives us. I had Recognition last year and some of
the business ideas were presented there. I learned from my co-learners last
year and I am ready to learn more this year. Take care, Gail, (Granny)
