Literature Review Section:
History:
Write short section describing the history of your questions.� Go back as
far as it is practical to do so.
Find 20 or so articles and books that you plan to use to discuss your question:
- Step One:
- Organize your papers into rough categories. Generally there are a couple
of sides to questions.� Some will agree and some will disagree.� Within
those there may be some that seem to be saying about the same thing.
- Write an introduction for each group describing in general terms what
each says.
- Step Two:
- For each citation in each category, briefly describe the findings of
the paper.� Give reasons for trusting or not trusting the findings.� Give
strengths and weaknesses. Give a statement of relevance. What
does this article say about my question?
- Step Three:
- Write a summary for each group.� Summarize findings.
- Step Four:
- Write a conclusion summarizing the whole body of information.
