Jigsaw for Chapter 4 of Miller
Each group is responsible for a small portion of chapter 4. Your job is to
find 5 to 10 important ideas in your section of the chapter and make sure
everyone in the group understands them. Then each member of the group will
teach it to small group of students. Their job is to make sure that each member
of that group understands the material.

General instructions:
In your small groups (numbered groups) (Approximately 1 hour)
- Review the material you have been given to present from the text
- Choose 4 or 5 main ideas, examples or topics to be presented
- Make sure everyone in your group has a good understanding of the material
- Prepare a presentation for that material that is less than 15 minutes
- Have a one or two people make the presentation to the group as time allows
- Each person in your group will make the presentation to a small group of
students
- Decide how you will compensate for missing people
- Go to the table with the letter that corresponds to your group
- Take a 10 min. break and return to the lettered table.
In your small groups (lettered groups) (Approximately 90 minutes)
- You may need a time keeper to keep presentations to under 15 minutes.
- Each
person, in the order of the material in the text, give the presentation
of the material as prepared in your first group
Whole class discussion of the process. (Whatever time is left. This discussion
can continue on Thursday.)
