What do link addresses look like?

Links relative to what?	Absolute = Outside site OR as if from outside
to same folder (e.g. home home.htm	home http://academic.evergreen.edu/curricular/mit2007/home.htm
to something in another folder (e.g. to article on adolescence from THIS page readings/adololescent.pdf	article on adolescence http://academic.evergreen.edu/curricular/mit2007/readings/adololescent.pdf
to find something in nested folders from THIS page (alissa's picture images/students/Alissa-Niemi.jpg	alissa's picture http://academic.evergreen.edu/curricular/mit2007/images/students/Alissa-Niemi.jpg

To make a link you type the address of your link in the "Link" window below. Or, IF the document you are linking to is one that you created and in your website, you can:

point mouse to the little circular symbol to the right of this box
click and hold your mouse down while you drag the line to the document you are trying to connect in the file list to the right of this screen.
