So in this reading, Walter Benjamin not only wrote about the history of the mechanical reproduction of arts but he also discussed about the effects that those reproduction works seem to have in our view (at least for some people in our class). One of the quote that catches me is when he mentioned about even the reproduction of work is lacking of "presense in time & space, its unique existence a the place where it happens to be", which make me think back to one of our seminar last quarter when we talk about the presense of traditional photography being more valuable than digital photography because of the fact that digital images can be reproduce and easier/faster to process. I realized that reproduction of art change the wolrd how people value art in a great deal. Reproduction of art in modern days will change our perception in art but hopfully it won't make it seems so pointless because now you can recreate many things so quick and easy.
