Week 8: Air Guitar

     What kind of artist do you want to be? Do want the galleries? The museums? The scene? The art world has grown, its gotten bigger than just one stereotype. There are choices, and it will affect you and your art greatly. The “underground” scene is popular but there is no money in the beginning and some don’t seem happy at the end. There is the Schmooze where you know the right people and slide your way in. Or there is pure talent that someone picks up on.
     Artists now choose their path but it seems they are ready for the end in the museum rather than the path. It’s about creating something that someone will buy or like and not about what you like. There are always the spectators in your head its not pure. Some artists can play with this by creating what people want then getting the money to make what ever they feel like. Maybe this is the wanted path. To get fame first then make what you really want.
