"The pursuit of memory through archival techniques is invariably a melancholic activity." p. 136   I think that installation art can be a useful tool for an artist to create an event or memory that is significant to them.  The white cube is an ideal space for this to occur due to it's controllable nature where the artist can create boundaries for context to become significant along with the time and narrative.
