Reflections on Installation Art In The New Millenium

After reading the selection from Installation Art, I am still completely frustrated with trying to find this explanation for an "Installation".  The arguments as to where an installation should be placed, if it can be a traveling installation, or whether or not an installation should envoke certain feelings all have this sort of catch 22 when trying to define a piece as an installation.

Reffering to the new millenium in art, the quote "Reality is turning into a home movie" really hit me.  I realized from this quote that I have a very hard time keeping composure and not incorporating "false" experiences, like those from a film, when I try to extract the content from a piece.  I feel that having a piece that is so free to the public, the public themselves become the piece creating an infinitely evolving piece.
1.)  How can you ever have a finite definition of an Installation, when it is constantly evolving and breaking boundaries?
2.)  Can you create an installation that stems from a notion of trying to not speak about anything at all?
