i mentioned this yesterday in seminar and said i would post it... it's the preface of "the picture of dorian gray" by oscar wilde; short and sweet, well written, and an interesting discussion of art. here ya go! The highest as the lowest form of criticism is a mode of autobiography. Those who find ugly meanings in beautiful things are corrupt without being charming. This is a fault.
