Sun Microsystems - Star Office 8
Star Office/Open Office is a fully functional office suite simliar in appearance to Microsoft Office. You can save your documents as Word (.doc), Powerpoint (.ppt), Portable Document Format (.pdf), and a whole other host of formates. It will open MS Office documents, you can modify them, and do just about anything. But, it's free!!! The software is free to students and faculty. I really applaud this software package. Great product!
