Alana Black
Hi everyone. My name is Alana Black and I am 27 years of age. I have been employed at Olympic Mtn Ice Cream for approximately 10 years and yes I do still like ice cream. I absolutely love gardening. I have had my own vegetable garden for 6 years and recently have started adding beautiful flowers among the vegetables. I have been married for 4 years and have a 2 year old son. I look forward to perhaps having more children sometime in the future. I have been a vegetarian for 15 years and love cooking varieties of ethnic foods. This is my third and final year at Evergreen and after graduating I had planned on attending Bastyr University to pursue a Masters in nutrition and clinical pyschology, though recently I have been exploring the idea of pursuing a career in the education field. Creation Story It was early in the morning when news spread of the death of the Grizzly Bear king. A great sadness overtook all of the animals in the vast woods, for the grizzly bear was loved by and not just his own. The animals cried for five days and five nights until the tears had created the mighty oceans rivers. A young wise rabbit asked the grizzly bear's family if they might consider depositing the king's bones in the newly formed water masses so that he might feel the love that we have for him. The king's family thought this was a fantastic idea. Immediately upon giving them to to the water, the bones began to break into many smaller pieces. The family watched with wide eyes as the tiny bone fragments began to take shape. Fins were formed, and eyes appeared, and they no longer resembled bones but were their own entity. The king's family cried with joy. The king had felt the love of the animals and was so joyed by this he created salmon for the animals of the land to use for nourishment. The animals enjoyed the salmon but because it was considered sacred, they were always careful not to over eat so to always keep it in abundance.
