Saturday was a very productive day in the garden. i spent 3 hours as follows: a little over an hour was spent de-sodding and weeding in the dry woodland area (until i got overwhelmed....i'm going to need some help from everybody one of these weekends soon to get rid of a lot of this stuff...While i was weeding, i removed a couple Trailing blackberry vines and transplanted them in the decorative area near the sign (where there was only 1 small one growing). I then spent about 45 minutes helping those in the riparian zone, and where the forest meets the trees by moving the leaves/weeds/fern fronds/etc. they were removing to the compost pile. I spent a little time in the Prairie area removing leaves as well, then spent a bit over an hour removing Nootka Rose from the Riparian zone and moving it to the decorative area. This is where the most progress was made. I spent about an hour walking around the garden, noticing so many more changes, however minute, and doing a little journaling. The Camas is blooming and it looks so amazing!!
