Garden Site Description

Outside my door at Spring Creek Farm

Describing the Area:

I'm moving to a trailer on an organic lavender farm for the summer. It's beautiful surrounded by trees by a little creek right next to a big field of lavender.

Description of the Garden Site:
1. I will start a container garden since I will only be living here for a few months. A few nice pots, one large and a few smaller for the more invasive plants (like mints and such).

2. I would like to have a variety of pot shapes: round and square and oval.

3. It shall be located on the flat area outside my door

4. Hope to find an area with a bit more sunshine. Around the other sie of the trailer I believe gets a good amount.

5. Hopefully can use the organic compost from the farm! Will put a layer of regular soil and gravel in the bottom of each pot for drainage.

6. I already have established a veggie and herb garden in Olympia and plan to still maintain that but would like to have some herbs to have nearby.

7. I want to focus on smaller women specific and culinary herbs that can be harvested regularly to make tea with, mugwort and Red raspberry, sage, bee balm, rosemary, lavender, aloe vera, basil, geranium, borage?, chamomile Curry plant!

Currently on the site there is : Bamboo, trailing blackberry, buttercup, red alder, western red cedar and other evergreen tree species.

I also plan to build my own worm bin! It will deal with organic waste and produce wonderful worm castings and tea! yay!
