Met with sayuyah sister garden group and went to visit the garden at Skokomish.  We used this time to accustom ourselves to the plants and beds that were there. We each assigned ourselves to a bed to research the herbs.  We discussed our plans and took some time to reflect on the mood there.

Researched nervous system herbs via internet and some good herb books.  Looked at the families they belonged and what other purposes the herbs also serve besides nervous system.  Researched contraindications as well as the energetics of the herbs.

Met with Alix and Anna to share our progress.  At this point we are finding that we need some inpur from others or direction. I am starting to look at the 5 elements and seeing if I can incorporate that in to herb bed plans.

Met with Rooselvelt school garden commitee to discuss the upcoming events and new projects that will be added such a compost.  I shared with Beth how I can help in the project.

Went up to Roosevelt school and filled out volunteer form. Then went into the gardening to do some assessing.  Weeded and

loosened the soil.  Hung out and talked with the kids.

Did some research on the 5 elements.  Used this time to make some sketches for the sister garden and looked at reclaimed wood resources on the campus to make the beds.

Volunteered at Roosevelt school for "Make a Difference Day" 

got beds ready for winter. Weeding, added mulched, cover cropped beds, and planted garlic. Did it all in the rain. =)
