I was born in southwest Washington and spent my childhood on a farm in the Columbia River Gorge. When I originally went to college I studied agriculture-horticulture and biology, but that was almost 10 years ago. I have supported myself over the years as a composter; working for private companies, as well as various counties. I moved to Olympia 5 years ago to attend Evergreen, I went for 2 years, but I never finished my bachelor’s – life happened instead. So, this year I’ve returned to Evergreen to not only finish my degree, but to revisit the passion and connections I have with the natural world, and to prepare for the MES program.
