Healing Gardens

This thorny invasive utilizes physical protection from herbivory, not phytochemical. Therefore, their leaves and roots are technically edible, though only the peeled stems and roots would be considered acceptable fare. I have collected the seed fluff of this furry friend for friction fire-making tinder bundles. The bundles catch fire so fast that they nearly explode, and should be mixed with less readily ignitible materials.
