Film Introduction

A group presentation on a film's context. Working in groups, students will make a 20-30 minute presentation on one of the films that we will be watching. They will need to research background material – including the background of the director and the history and geography of material within the film itself. The groups will also read at least two film reviews and facilitate the class discussion. Try to choose a film that you will be presenting and approach it in a way that looks interesting to you, and present your discussion in a way that will engage the class. Feel free to use the chalkboard or to bring in any xeroxed material, maps, or pictures that may be pertinent to your presentation.
