All faculty, staff, and students can receive network space on Evergreen's File Server, Calawah. And everything on the server is backed up daily. Faculty can set up individual or program space -- or both!
For your program, you can use program file space to allow students in your program to save files and share them. You can also make the space private for you, groups, or everyone in the program. To set up a program file share space, contact your liaison.
To set up file space for yourself (individual space), log on to my.evergreen.edu, choose the "Request personal file share space" link and follow the instructions. The file space will be private by default.
To access your space on-campus:
1. On a Mac: In the Finder menu on the Desktop, select Go > Connect to Server... Type smb:\\calawah and click Connect. You will then be prompted to log in with your Evergreen (email) account. Click Connect again. Select Programs (for program space) or the firstletterofusername (for indivdual space) and click OK. A Network Drive will be placed on your Desktop -- simply double-click on the globe.
2. On a PC: Log onto the computer with your Evergreen account. Click on the Start Menu and select "Run..." Type in \\calawah\programs\yourprogramfoldername (for program space) or \\calawah\firstletterofusername\yourusername (for indivdual space) and click OK.
