Curtis B. Swanson
Thatch Ants: Territoriality of a Formica Species in relation to Neighborhood and Thatch Mound Size
Poetry
Kinfolk and Skeletons Row are both inspired by my ability to reach deep within the observations and personal experiences of my environment - both fictional and factual.
Curtis has been writing for the stage since 1989. His works have been staged in Western Australia as well as the Seattle area. His last full length Watching over Harold, was the over all winner in the 2006 Peggy Hunt New Play Festival and subsequently was performed at Burien Live Theatre in May of the same year. He has also been involved with the Museum of Flight in Seattle as a writer and researcher for the Personal Courage wing. When not writing, Curtis plays both electric and upright bass in several bands including the newly formed Boney Stokes (and the blind frogs) fusion jazz experience.
Curtis lives in Federal Way, WA with his wife Beth and three cats and is a non-traditional student at Evergreen where he feels comfortably “at home”.
