Comp HW Week 3
1. Write the Craps program we discussed in class. Your program should play the game of Craps. Do not use functions or graphics. You can add the ability to play again, input and keep track of a bet from the user, and updating the user on his winnings. Use the simple craps rules discussed in lab. You will turn in the copy of your working program Thursday of next week. Include comments telling what you are doing, and make the program itself neat and easy to follow.
2. Run and understand the Car program we ran in lab this week. The code is on the link under Schedule/week 3/lab 3. Add to this program the ability to graph the acceleration and velocity of the car each instance, just as the current program charts the instantaneous distance the car has traveled.
3. You will turn in a copy of the Movie decision table Thursday of week 3. Reduce the table if you can. On the back, outline how you would code the problem. Use 'and' and read each column.
4. Prepare for the Seminar next week. Research the job you would most like to be doing in 5 years. Descripe what you would be doing in this job. Detail how computers have changed this job in the last 10 years. Finally, be able to defend why this job could not be replaced by a computer in the next 5 or 10 years. Next, describe and be able to defend a job you beleive would be the least likely to be replaced by a computer in 10 years. You will turn in your preparation material, but the most important think is to participate fully in the discussion on Monday.
