I started teaching at Evergreen in 2001, teaching the Foundations of Computing program and Java Programming. I also have taught at Saint Martin's University and Pierce College. I have just returned to Evergreen from a four year travel/teaching adventure with my wife in China, New Zealand, Figi, and Mexico. We now live outside of Shelton on Pickering Passage. My wife is an Elementary School Librarian at Meadows Elementary School in Lacey.
I have been very involved with Distance Education and International education over the last 15 years. We have taught in China four times in that time period, and I have taught and developed many distance education courses.
My academic interests include math education, programming, web development, and softward engineering. I also hold a Masters degree in Counceling Psychology, and am interested in the computer's impact on society. Human cognition and learning theory are also areas of interest and background.
You can read more about me and my family, along with pictures, on the About the Faculty link on this webpage.
