Pen Press is a New York-based independent press founded in 1998 with the goal of “promoting contemporary Latin American and Spanish poetry, and poets of other languages in Spanish translation.” On this occasion, its editorial director, Mercedes Roffé [4], will present the series, and two renowned English-language poets from its translation catalog: Montreal poet Erín Moure [5], and New York poet Leonard Schwartz [6] (now visiting from Evergreen State College, WA), who will read from their work. Marcos Wasem [7], poet and web designer, will introduce Pen Press’ brand-new site: www.edicionespenpress.com [8].
