Student 1: Thanks for meeting me here. I really would like to talk to you about what happened and see if we can make things right between us.
Student 2: I am willing to put aside my feelings and listen to what you have to say, Even though it is hard for me to do so.
Student 1: First I want to say I am sorry for being so inconsiderate. I got so wrapped up in this project and my ideas for the project that I didn’t listen to what you were trying to say. I interrupted you while you were presenting your ideas and didn’t allow you to finish.
Student 2: You weren’t that bad, well… you might have been. The ideas I had could have led us down a path that could lead to more ideas or sharpened the ideas you had put forth. I felt left out when you were listening to everyone else’s ideas and mine were not getting acknowledged, It kind of felt like I was not needed.
Student 1: Well that is why I wanted us to talk. I want you to know that you and your ideas are important to this project. And that I am sorry for having been so rude to you. I really would like to hear your ideas for the project and I hope you will accept my apology.
Student 2 nods in agreement smiling and both students shake hands.
Alternate Ending Student 1: Well that is why I wanted us to talk. I want you to know that you and your ideas are important to this project. And that I am sorry for having been so rude to you. I really would like to hear your ideas for the project and I hope you will accept my apology.
Student 2: I accept your apology, now let’s get started and finish this project.
(Both students smile and shake hands)
