About Dr. Hurst:

Mark A. Hurst Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice and an educator who has been adjunct faculty at TESC for over 10 years.  Over this time he has created and taught the courses and programs: Good and Evil: Concepts and Realities; Positive Psychology; He Said, She Said; Success and American Dreams; The Psychology of Cancer; Restoring Justice Without Bars; Concepts of Crime and Community; Masculinities: Roles and Relationships; Adolescents in Turmoil; The Developing Child; Cornerstone Seminar; Introduction to Psychology; and Theories of Counseling.

He has developed training programs designed to help people be productive, engaged, and thriving in all areas of their lives, especially in relationships and at work.  He has conducted Positive Psychology training for manufacturing and high tech audiences, health professionals, government agencies, and prison populations.  Dr. Hurst is an engaged, enthusiastic teacher whose major interest is in helping students increase their knowledge and skill base for immediate and deliberate application.
