"The main things which seem to me important on their own account, and not merely as means to other things are: knowledge, art, instinctive happiness, and relations of friendship or affection." ~Bertrand Russell

Liz's Tumblr Blog
Updated daily with ridiculous pictures of cats, Harry Potter, food. Also quotes, videos and songs. Some material may be unsuitable... just in general.

Liz's Twitter
Updated with ridiculously unnecessary real-time updates from my life.

WHY?!

Why this class? Why am I here? Why anything? This could get deep... Nah.
A philosophical inquiry into the way the Internet affects communities? What's not to like about that? I love philosophy. I'm interested in community studies. And I've loved the internet and all the possibilities it represents ever since my family got 1000 free hours of AOL back in 1997. Sometimes I miss the excitement of listening to a modem hum and buzz while waiting for it to connect, and most times failing. I used to wait all day to download one song. Now, I can download an entire movie in 5 minutes. We've come a long way baby.

I <3 the INTERNET!!
