I just mashed together various responses-- this definitely needs more work. but, this is the kind of metaresponse that I've been talking about. we just need to boil everything down into concise positions-- even if multiple positions emerge, there will still be value to the page (the question will be answered from various perspectives). now, when people make changes they should not feel confined to editing only their own work-- and they should not feel compelled to sign their work. here, we can create a collaborative response (we can add what we want and take away what we feel is distracting from the topic). does that make sense?
