 Since retiring, I have missed Evergreen terribly, and Jacinta's passing has made me realize why... the learning environment was certainly part of it, but more than anything I have missed the unique individuals who have made the institution what it is.  Jacinta was one of those.  Indeed, as we are recognizing, she, herself, was an institution.
I am grieving with you all.
