is tentatively scheduled to teach a minimum of 3 lessons on consecutive Wednesdays (or on other days mutually agreed upon by the classroom teacher and the teacher candidate).  The lessons need to be concluded by mid-May.  The tentative teaching dates are:

1. ____________________    2.____________________     3. ______________________

The subject area in which the teacher candidate will be teaching is __________________.

The primary concept that will be taught is ______________________.  The teacher candidate is expected by the classroom teacher to use the following resources in planning the lesson: ___________________________________________________________

______________________________________________________________________________

______________________________________________________________________________

These resources, as necessary, will be made available to the teacher candidate to use in a planning workshop at Evergreen on Tuesday, April 5.

The teacher candidate agrees to submit lesson plans to the classroom teacher in a timely manner for approval prior to teaching the lessons.  The teacher candidate’s lesson plans will follow the same outline and rubric assessment expectations that will be required for full-time student teaching Fall 2005 & Spring 2006.  The teacher candidate’s faculty will assess the lesson plans according to the program’s student teaching assessment rubric “Domain 1: Planning & Preparation”) .  The teacher candidate has a copy of both the components of the lesson plan and the planning assessment rubric that should be shared with the classroom teacher.

The classroom teacher will assess the presentation of the teacher candidate’s lessons according to the “Instruction” domain of the student teaching assessment rubric.  The teacher candidate will provide the classroom teacher with a copy of this domain.  Most helpful to the teacher candidate and the faculty is when the classroom teacher circles the developmental level of the teacher candidate’s performance and provides a brief summary describing the candidate’s performance.

If the classroom teacher has a question about any aspect of this agreement that the teacher candidate is unable to answer, please contact the following faculty members: Michael Vavrus, 360-867-6638, e-mail vavrusm@evergreen.edu or Patty Finnegan, 360-867-6338, e-mail finnegap@evergreen.edu

The signatures below of the teacher candidate and the classroom teacher signify their agreement to the plan outlined above.
