1/30/06 .5 Talked to Sheila Austin at professional development for the Tacoma School District and submitted all of the necessary information for background check. She will send my information to Mr. Gillus who will get everything started. 9

.5 Talked to Sheila Austin again regarding observation. She says that she will have Mr. Gillus call me. 11.5
2/6/06 1 Talked to Skip Gillus who called me. We discussed in more detail my project and the program. Mr. Gillus told me that we would need to set up my observation through Loren Petty who is the student teacher coordinator for Evergreen State College. 12.5
2/7/06 .5 Talked to Loren Petty. I explained my program and project and what I needed. He explained the process to me for getting the ok through the Tacoma School District (what a pain in the...) He set up an appointment for me to come by his office tomorrow to fill out paper work and get finger printed. 13
2/8/06 1.5 Went to Loren Petty's office today and filled out paper work on me, did my ID stuff, ect. I talked to Loren about our program and what I am doing. He took a copy of our syllabus and contract and said that he would work with Skip Gillus to get this set up right away. He said he would call me on my cell phone by the end of the week. 14.5

2/22/06 .75 Went to talk to Loren in his office. He still had heard no word from the Tacoma School District. I told Loren that at this point I will need to seek other options. I told him that I was very thankful for all of his help, but I also expressed my overall disappointment and frustration at the situation and that I hoped that in the future these programs could be better coordinated so as to avoid these problems for future students. 37.75
