Credits in Advanced Chemistry

Credit options:
All credits will be upper division science credits, provided your work is up to the expected standard. If you are not keeping up with expectations, you will be informed and you will lose credits. Credit breakdown per quarter is as follows.

  • 6 - quantum mechanics & spectroscopy (calculus is a pre-requisite)
  • 6 - inorganic chemistry & coordination chemistry (calculus not required)
  • 4 - Instrumentation Laboratory/Research Project in Chemistry

Students can take part of the program as shown below.

  • 6 credits per quarter - quantum mechanics & spectroscopy (calculus is a pre-requisite)
  • 6 credits per quarter - inorganic chemistry & coordination chemistry (calculus not required)

    Instrumentation Laboratory is open only to those taking the entire program.
    Partial credit will not be awarded.
