Analysis

In technologies of gender Terese de Lauretis states, that the construction of gender is both the production and the process of its representation.  One way that can help us understand the construction of gender is by studying semiotics. Semiotics is the study of signs or sign systems in relation to the way they are transmitted and assign meaning to things.  The music video and the artist help assign, produce and process the representation of gender, and other social discourses.  Not only does the artist identity represents music entertainment.  His identity becomes a signed of capital. The artist identity for his or her recording company and for the spectator  becomes a money driven machinery.   The  video and the artist help reinforce or assigned a new meaning to what it is to be prestige’s, valuable, and a high status in the social hierarchy.

Talk about how semiotics place a role in the usage of food in the videos and how their meaning changes within the context of the video.

Computer Lab

We entered a big rectangular box. The box was filled with different types of objects-many of those objects came in different shapes, sizes, and colors. There was one particular object that grab my attention, it was a small flashy box, because it had the power to hypnotized everyone that dare look at it. The box looked like it was constructed out of plastic, but on the front size of the box it had a piece of glass. This glass ,if you looked inside, it would change colors and shapes. Sometimes, if you looked inside, the shapes were of human beings, and in the top of the glass it would say you tube. The only time that I saw the human beings take their attention away from the flashy square was when they had to walk to a bigger box. This bigger box would released white flat squares.
