This is a song that was created by a rap singer named C.A.U.T.I.O.N.
It was one result of a science outreach program to bring urban youth to
natural surroundings, and to encourage a sense of stewardship for
nature. Here is one of C.A.U.T.I.O.N's songs.
The
40 school kids joined biologists and C.A.U.T.I.O.N. in the forest, on
the shoreline, and in trails to study trees, the intertidal animals,
and insects. Each day, they would use our sound studios to make their
own rap songs and spoken word poetry.
