There was a section of this book dedicated to The Twilight Zone, and from there I was able to get information on how the prevailing 1950s culture shaped the content of the show.

Brode, Douglas. Rod Serling and The Twilight Zone. For Lee, NJ: Barricade Books, 2009. Print.

This book supplied me with a lot biographical information on Rod Serling.

Zicree, Marc. The Twilight Zone Companion. Los Angeles, CA: Silman-James Press, 1982. Print.

This book gave a lot of information on important episodes from each season.
