Description
Americans daily face conflicting information related to health and nutrition. Students will analyze the many issues consumers face when purchasing food while investigating how diet and lifestyle impact health and learning about the role of major nutrients and phytonutrients. Different dietary philosophies will be discussed as well as the political and financial influence of food. Students will maintain and learn to analyze personal diet diaries as a tool to understand class material.Maximum Enrollment: 24
