Description
This course will explore various approaches to applying quantitative reasoning and statistics to perform data analysis. Course content will focus on increasing students' understanding of quantitative research design and linking methods of data collection to procedures for data analysis in the social sciences. Within this context, students will demonstrate the ability to correctly calculate and interpret descriptive and inferential statistics. This includes learning how to select and apply statistical tests for the proper situations. Statistical tests introduced in this course include the t-test, correlation, and regression. Student work will consist of in-class workshops, take-home assignments, and computer exercises.Maximum Enrollment: 25
