Art Since 1500

This class surveys world art history since 1500 from the Renaissance to the 20th century.  We will focus on paintings, sculpture, architecture and the decorative arts in Europe, North America, and Asia.  Credit possible in either art history or world cultures/civilizations. Students earn 4 credits during two weeks of intensive class meetings, June 23 to July 3, 2014. Students enrolled for 6 credits will then have the remainder of the summer session to research and write essays, with faculty guidance.  This is a companion class to "Europe Since 1500."
