Community Service Learning DTF - Charge

The Community Service-Learning DTF was convened to make recommendations on how the college should strengthen its support to faculty and students who are pursuing various types of community-based service-learning activities in their teaching and learning. We have collected and analyzed data on the college's past and current community service-learning activities and considered options for how the college can:

• provide additional support for student community service-learning work
• create opportunities for faculty research and professional development
• assist faculty in programs that include community-based studies
• strengthen Evergreen's mission and desire to be of service to the needs and on-going work of communities and organizations in our region
