Week 8

This week we have another guest lecture.. We continue to look at hypothesis testing and issues concerning correlation and causation. We will also look at analysis of variance (ANOVA).

Assignments:

Before coming to class, you should have completed the following readings:

CGS: Chapter 11
USR: chapter 8
GC: Stephen J. Gould (pp. 71-79)
Handout: The Trouble with Testosterone: Will Boys Just Be Boys by Robert M. Sapolsky
Handout: Chapter 23 and Epilogue from The Double Helix by James Watson

In addition, you should have completed the following exercises:

  • Exercise 8.4
  • Exercise 8.8
  • Exercise 8.16
  • Another exercise of your choice

And finally, remember that the draft of your group paper is due this week.
