Each 12-credit student enrolled in Finding Your Voice is required to do 10 hours of community service per week (about 70 hours for fall quarter) of service with a community group. Students are expected to initiate contact with a community group they are interested in working with, and to find a field supervisor from that organization. Contracts signed by both the student and field supervisor need to be returned to faculty by Saturday, Oct. 11.

Field supervisors will be responsible for assigning work to the student, assessing their progress and writing a one-paragraph evaluation of the student’s work to faculty by December 3. Evaluations may be e-mailed to:

It is the student’s responsibility to notify his or her field supervisor which faculty member to send the evaluation to.
