Lure of the Local

Lure of the Local integrates our studies of the environment, land use, sense of place, history, art, and culture. Lippard's thesis primarily targets a new conception of "public art," but her thoughts on art, culture, and the environment have long ranging implications for artists and activists for all kinds.

We'll be breaking up her work into several sections to link it up to our other readings and to make it easier to digest.
