Part One: Deciding an Area of Focus
I have been instructed to choose a culture and look at its relationship to water, an essential element that should figure prominently in nearly every culture on Earth. This assignment focuses on folklore and spirituality. This is a very broad place to begin, and I should pick a culture I have some interest in to begin with, to make my research more engaging for me, and take advantage of what knowledge I may already possess regarding a specfic culture. I like anthropology, so there are lots I could choose from. I like Salish Indian art and culture, maybe I can find something there.
