Arts, Environment and the Child: Walking the Wheel of the Seasons

Curriculum Work Making "RECYCLED ART"
my lesson plan includeS ,

1ST STEP--- Collecting materials to be used__
-there are many things we throw away with out thinking about it:Candy wrapers, cans, bottles, egg cartons, milk jugs, paper, bags ,bottle caps, also thing we don't use any more :old socks, holey shirts, any unwearable fabric , shoelace, broken peices of wood , sticks , plastic forks/spoons,These are are great thing to make a really cool sculpture.

Almost anything you can think of can be used for a sculpture!
I am asking kids to be observant of things the are either throwing away are not in use any more or just to think of how the could incorporate somthing they apreciate but have no use for in to a sculpture.--

-- we will be mainly using elmers glue and glue stick,or string to attatch things so materials might have to be fairly light weight.

But I hope most things that will last fairly long so the sculpture wont rott or calapse on to itself so were staying away from perishable things and dangerous thingS,or thing that might be expensive and belong to somone else
before you bring it in to class PLEASE check with a parent or an adult in the houshold to make sure it's ok to use in a sculpture.

So before the next class I would like the kids to collect these things to bring them in for themslevs or to share to make sculpture.

And it will be the idividuals choice what he or she makes!!!
